Easter Egg Hunt, presented by the Nixa Parks and Recreation, 10am to noon, Nixa Community Center, 701 North Taylor Way. Eggs will hold sweets, prizes and giveaways, including a few free Memberships to the new fitness center anticipated opening April at the Nixa community center. Hunt times: 10:05 AM for ages six months to two years old, 10:15 AM for ages 3 to 5; 10:25 AM for ages 6 to 8; 10:35 AM for ages 9 to 12. Free activities for children including gifts, games, and access to a bounce house. A professional photographer will be there available for a cost of $5.25 to $6.25. 417-725-5486.

Sunrise service in Springfield, Mo

Springfield 8th Annual Easter Celebration, 6:45 AM, gates at 6:15 AM Hammons Field, 955 E. Trafficway. Interdenominational community event is open to all who wish to celebrate Easter. In case of implement weather, the service will be held indoors at the Springfield Cardinals training facility at Hammons Field . A variety of speakers will include associate pastor Melissa Dodd of Campbell United Methodist.
